TEXAS CAMPUS PROBLEM SOLVING

Campus readiness

The packages are progressing. The campus still cannot open.

Why this becomes a campus problem

Contract completion is not the same as operating readiness. A building package may be complete while its permanent utility service, controls integration or operating permission remains open. The owner needs someone to resolve the gaps between scopes without pretending the existing contractors have transferred their construction responsibilities.

The decisions that unlock the work

What we take responsibility for

  1. Work backward from acceptance

Agree the operating endpoint with the owner and operator. Reconcile that endpoint with contractor scopes, utility prerequisites and commissioning plans. Identify the missing interfaces rather than create another generic progress report.

  2. Resolve the orphaned work

Bring the responsible designers, providers and contractors around the specific gaps. Obtain owner approval for scope changes or a revised handover sequence. Track each interface through a defined action and evidence requirement.

  3. Close and hand back

Drive the selected readiness work to acceptance through the appointed teams. Distinguish completion, energization and operational acceptance. Document remaining obligations and ensure that any partial handover is an explicit operator decision.

The outcome, and the evidence

The selected readiness barriers closed and the agreed phase accepted at its contractual endpoint. Sitebraid’s role is owner-side problem resolution and integration. Construction remains with the appointed contractors; design and certification remain with the qualified professionals.

Define the intervention

Start with the blocked outcome, current project record and people already responsible for the work. We agree the decisions to resolve, specialist support, authority and acceptance evidence before mobilization. Fees follow the appointed team and accepted milestones, not construction volume.

Texas context

ERCOT publishes large-load project information and commissioning requirements. Our proposed role is to connect applicable power prerequisites with the owner’s campus decisions and delivery sequence.
