TEXAS CAMPUS PROBLEM SOLVING
Campus recovery
My campus has stalled. I need a team to get it moving.
Why this becomes a campus problem
Delay reports describe symptoms. Recovery requires finding the small number of constraints that determine whether the next phase is viable. A water redesign may alter electrical demand; a power change may invalidate the site layout; an approval condition may change both. Accelerating individual packages without resolving those relationships can increase sunk cost.
The decisions that unlock the work
- What exact operating or investment milestone is blocked, and what is truly required to reach it?
- Which apparent delays are consequences of an unresolved upstream decision?
- What spending preserves options, and what spending assumes a recovery route the owner has not approved?
- Can the original phase be recovered, or should it be reduced, resequenced, paused or abandoned?
What we take responsibility for
Reconstruct the project’s decision history
Reconcile the current operating brief, commitments, design basis and approval record. Establish what is actually complete and which assumptions have expired. Avoid restarting work that remains valid.
Make a recovery choice
Present credible alternatives with their dependencies, capital exposure and consequences for the customer. Obtain owner decisions on the revised endpoint, authority and work to be stopped or continued.
Take on the constraints that matter
Carry the selected water, power, approval or infrastructure interventions through named closure points. Integrate the work with the existing team and return unresolved external changes to the owner promptly.
The outcome, and the evidence
An agreed recovery route and closure of the blockers in our mandate. A new programme is an intermediate tool. The outcome is the next viable phase advanced to its defined acceptance point, or an informed decision not to spend further on an unworkable route.
See the approach in practice
A detailed illustrative assignment showing the evidence, options and execution sequence, not a claimed completed project.
Example: resolving the power constraint behind a stalled phaseDefine the intervention
Start with the blocked outcome, current project record and people already responsible for the work. We agree the decisions to resolve, specialist support, authority and acceptance evidence before mobilization. Fees follow the appointed team and accepted milestones, not construction volume.
Texas context
ERCOT publishes large-load project information and commissioning requirements. Our proposed role is to connect applicable power prerequisites with the owner’s campus decisions and delivery sequence.
ERCOT: Large Load IntegrationOur approach above is a proposed appointment. Requirements and external decisions are specific to the site and provider.
